This is not a template service. It is not "I send you a questionnaire and return a document." It is a collaborative, discernment-driven engagement that produces plans worth implementing.

The Process

  • Stage 1: Founder Pre-Work (async, before intake)

    Before we meet, you complete a structured pre-work document — 27 questions, approximately 20–25 minutes. This covers your business context, your customers and market, your offerings and revenue, your current numbers, and the specific deliverable you're seeking. The last section asks how you make decisions. That section is not optional.

  • Stage 2: Consulting Intake Session (90 minutes, billable)

    The intake is a paid working session — $650 to $750 — not a free discovery call. This is deliberate. A free call incentivizes me to pitch and you to evaluate. A paid session incentivizes both of us to do real work.

    In 90 minutes, we review your pre-work, audit your business model, examine your decision patterns, assess scope and fit, and produce a written intake summary you keep regardless of whether we proceed. If you move forward to a full plan consulting engagement, the intake fee applies toward your project total.

  • Stage 3: Scope and Proposal

    Based on the intake summary, I'll confirm scope, timeline, and deliverables in a written Engagement Scope Addendum. You'll know exactly what you're getting, what it costs, and when to expect it before you sign anything.




  • Stage 4: Engagement

    The engagement proceeds in phases, with scheduled working sessions and clear revision rounds. You'll have access to me throughout — not just at handoff.

A Note on AI and Planning

 

Many consultants are using AI to generate business plans now. The question is what happens in the intake. AI doesn't know what you don't tell it. It can't detect the operational assumption you've been carrying since year one that stopped being true two years ago. It can't tell when a revenue projection is funded by hope rather than history
